Takekoma Shrine
Takekoma Shrine was founded when Ono no Takamura, serving as the Governor of Mutsu Province, enshrined the deity of Fushimi Inari. It is regarded as one of Japan’s Three Great Inari Shrines and is deeply revered as a guardian of industrial development, bountiful harvests, and business prosperity. The annual Autumn Festival held each September is one of Iwanuma City’s major events, expressing gratitude to the deity for the abundant autumn harvest.
