Kumano Nachi Shrine

Perched atop Mount Takadate, Kumano Nachi Shrine was originally built to enshrine the deity Haguro Hiryu Okami. According to tradition, an elderly woman from Natori later invited deities from the Kumano region to be enshrined here alongside Kumano Fusumi Okami, after which it became known as Kumano Nachi Shrine. From the summit, visitors can enjoy sweeping views of Natori—a hidden gem known for its beautiful night scenery and sunrise.
