Iwanuma Station ‘Snack’ Bar
Like a traditional snack bar, there's a mama-san and assistant mama-san to keep things warm and welcoming. But unlike the usual haunts, there's no karaoke, no smoking, and no late-night hours, making it a comfortable spot for everyone.
To help break the ice, we have a unique "Message in a Bottle" system. If you see a theme written on another guest's bottle that resonates with you, you can leave them a thank-you note and enjoy a glass from their bottle for just ¥100! The Iwanuma Station 'Snack' Bar is a warm, community-centered pub dedicated to bringing locals and visitors together.
Staff's Recommendations Seasonal Craft Beer
Come enjoy our rotating selection of seasonal craft beer! Our current highlight is "Magical Pawpaw," a unique fruit ale brewed right here in Iwanuma by Kibou no Oka (Hills of Hope) Brewery. It is made with locally-grown pawpaw fruit, sometimes called Japan’s ‘phantom fruit,’ which is a sweet fruit with a surprisingly tropical flavor — rare to find in Japan, and unlike anything else grown in this part of the world.
